You should be afraid of my father. He does not like it when you don't clean your room. Bad things happen then. I hide, but he always finds me. I try to clean my room, honestly! But dad won't have any of it.

My mom does not want to play either. I have stopped asking her. I don't want to finish my meal. I am full. But mom won't have any of it. I try telling her, but she plays bloody knuckles with her spoon and I. I don't like that game. Not one bit.

My parents say if anyone asks I should just say I fell. My mom tells me not to lie. I don't really understand, but either do the teachers. They ask questions my parents have already answered.

Note: I love my parents. This has no reflections on them. Just saw a boy with a red ball today while I was waiting for the bus. No other kids wanted to play with him. Do you ever notice that? Ever see the kid in the corner? That was me once. I was the kid no one wanted anything to do with. That has changed, I made a point to it. I never had any big troubles at home, like the kid in my story. That does not mean it does not happen. I know it happens. Look around you. See if you can see the kid and his red ball.
